Jason Derulo – Ridin Solo

          The last few weeks of school have been very busy; we have tons of assignments due next week! We also did dance every day for the last week, we had an instructor come and teach us a short dance. Every single grade made one; ours was really cool we had two tribes wearing brown and green. They were supposed to be showing each other what we could do and the other group would follow along. It was really fun, and then at the end of the week on Friday we watched all the grades perform their dances. I didn’t get to see the show or perform in it because I was going to Victoria for a soccer tournament, but I heard that they were all very good dances. We also started a new unit in gym now we are doing dance, we get to choose a group of friends and perform a dance to one of the two songs, and the song that I am performing is clumsy by Fergie. My group is Shaina, Owen, Jordan, Tate, Spencer and me. We are really behind on our dance because we had problems with getting our group to all listen and do what they were told to do. So we all decided that it was too hard to learn our dance with other people listening to other music, so we are going to learn it on the weekend at Owens’s house. After we are finished our dance we are going to perform it in front of some of the students in our school. And finally May Fair is coming back to Ridgeview I have always <3 may fair it is the most fun activity in the whole year. You get to go on rides and play games for the whole day, this year, since we are the grade sevens we get to volunteer and help out with the events. Since May fair only comes every two years it is a really special event. I am going to help out with setting up the fair and a really fun activity called jib jab. Jib jab is when you take a picture of someone’s face and then you put their picture into someone a drawing of something. I am so excited!

This winter break was awesome, i had a ton of fun! One of the the things I did this break was go to Seattle. I went to Seattle with my mom, dad, and my sister Maia, so basically it was a family vacation. When we got there we first went to the outlet mall next to the hotel named Tuilulip. I didn’t buy anything there but my sister got a sweater from Juicy Couture for one hundred dollars, my dad also got a fleece from his favourite store called Izod. And finally my mom got ten t shirts from several stores. After the first shopping mall we made our way to our hotel. We were so lucky that our hotel was right behind the Belvue Square mall. The hotel we stayed at was really nice. We had a kitchen a living room and a bedroom. We also had free internet and wifi, in the mornings we got free breakfast and drinks. Once we got to the hotel we were all so tired, we had all woke up at 6:00 that morning. But still i wanted to go to the mall, this mall was the best it had Hollister, Abercombie and Fitch, 7 jeans, Aritzia, and Nordstrom. There were more stores then that but those stores were my favourite. After we shopped there we met up with our family friends from back at home. We decided to go out for dinner, the only problem was that in Seattle downtown they celebrate New Years really early so every restaurant was busy. We finally found a restaurant, it was a expensive Italian place. We had a really good meal in the end.

This first week back at school was a big change compared to the winter break, we had a lot of home work and it was harder to work because we were all blanked out of what we had learned in the following weeks. But we had at lease some fun this first week back at school we went curling at the North Shore Winter club. We had a lot of fun there, they showed us the basics and we got to do some activities in the small groups we got out in. Liam and I tied for this one event and we are gonna try to tie every time.

This week has been stressful, we have had tons of home work. The one day we have the most home work I have to go to the eye doctor. I left school early just so I could get to my appointed near Lonsdale, we waited forever! First my mom and I got a small bite to eat and a drink. Once it was finally my turn we went to the testing room. In that room i had to cover my eye with a plastic like spoon, then I had to read out the letters that came up on the screen. Then the letters slowly got smaller and smaller. Next I had to put my head on this holder and put my eye into the hole. In the machine there was a balloon down this a far road. Then they puffed air into my eye, when they did this to me I flinched and was quietly  started laughing at myself. They did this several times to each eye. Next the put the eye drops in that made my day miserable. Those eye drops make your eyes go blurring and you can’t read at all. Then they told me to wait for about ten minutes. Once we got into the waiting room, my eyes were already starting to get blurring and annoying. I waited and waited for about ten minutes, until she called my name. I went into the examine room and waited and waited even more! Then finally Dr.Tishler came into the room, he scares me a little because he looks really depressed. Then he checked my eyes like any other time. Hooray once again I had twenty twenty vision! After that I had to rush over to hip hop all the way in North Vancouver. Once I got my card out and tried to swipe in in the card reader, but since I couldn’t see right it took me a few minutes to see what I was doing. Once I went into the dressing room and went towards the studio I saw Josh and Rex! So I wasn’t late at all, in fact I was twenty minutes early. Soon everyone arrived, such as Yvonne, Becca and, Kristen. We always have fun in hip hop, but today since my eye site was bad I was starting to feel sick and dizzy. We did the same thing we always do at hip hop that day. Once I was done I had realized that i can’t do my home work if my eyes site sucks!
